In the shadow of the Houses of Parliament, The Cinnamon Club has, over the last two decades, hosted some of the UK’s most well-known politicians, so it comes as no surprise that they’re holding an all-nighter for the General Election. From dinner through to late night bowl food and on to breakfast – 6pm (Thursday 4th July through to 11am on Friday), keep the spirits high with modern Indian dishes while watching the evening unfold live on a large TV screen. Those not dining, are welcome to pop in and enjoy the live action in the Library Bar, and early birds can choose between a classic Full English or Continental breakfast. No need to buy a ticket, just book a table. With the media circus around the corner, no doubt there may be some familiar faces.

Our seasonal Summer Cookery Demonstration at The Olive Branch - an enlightening and amusing 2 hour demonstration followed by a wonderful 3 course lunch.

The day begins at 10am with coffee, after which our Head Chef Ben Fisher demonstrates this specially chosen seasonal menu. At this months demonstration you'll learn about how to make and cook fresh pasta and create a pasta filling. You will also learn how to recognise good quality fresh white fish, how to prepare the fish and create a herb crust, learn pickling techniques for the fennel, how to cook the fish and getting the seasoning right. Finally you will learn how to use puff pastry, create an elderflower gel and make an apple compot and also how to make a vanilla crème diplomat. Ben and his kitchen team will then prepare and cook the same menu for your lunch along with other guests, which is served around the table in The Barn all with a complimentary glass of wine.

Ben provides a continuous stream of time-saving hints and tips through-out the demonstration. Guests leave with a copy of the demonstration menu, recipes and notes for the featured dishes.

Our sell our evening was such a success in May, we just knew it was going to be the first of many. We’re delighted to be back in the kitchen with our friends from @surreyhillsdelicatessen and @surreyhillsbutchers, using locally sourced ingredients and showcasing the talents of our village.
